Welcome to the internet home of Florida's largest and most fun-loving sailing club for trailer-sailors. A few words about our favorite sailing area:

Amongst the finest cruising grounds in the world, the State of Florida boasts incredible scenery, lakes, islands, city skylines, fishing villages, uncrowded anchorages, sheltered coves, wide open blue-water ocean sailing, fresh water rivers over a mile wide, crystal clear natural springs and the northern-most reaches of the Caribbean Sea. Most of the cruises of the CFYC are in the company of dolphins, manta rays and countless tropical fish.

Here's what we do:

We organize weekend, long weekend, midweek, overnight and week-long sails in and around Florida. There is so much to explore and discover that we always have new ideas on places to go. The CFYC also puts out a monthly newsletter, "Scuttlebutt", to keep members informed and up to date on club adventures. We meet twice a month in Orlando to plan sails and events like holiday parties, sailing treasure hunts, beach ball races and our annual regatta; the Lake Harris Clemen's Cup. All of our meetings are casual and open to the public. Come have dinner, share sea stories and make some new friends to sail with.

Here's what you need:

If you have a trailerable sailboat that you can overnight on, you're all set! It does help to have a sense of adventure, and a willingness to discover new places, meet like-minded fun-loving people, and occasionally eat in strange restaurants. All of this while travelling with the security of a group of people, be it sailing on the water or in a convoy over the road. The club is also great to have around when you launch and retrieve.
